宋高宗绍兴十年（西元1140年）岳飞元帅大破金兵于朱仙镇，准备挥师渡黄河，恢复中原。是时，北方各地义军，分起响应，岳元帅特派郑云（贾鲁石）将军，密携名单，潜入敌后进行联繫。郑将军为能避过敌人耳目，乔扮乞丐到大名府，寻找一位以更夫职务为掩护的陆六（白鹰），设法将名单转送以太行山为根据地的忠义社义军，发动敌后作战，牵制敌军。不料事有泄漏，大名府都统耶律忠（曹健）下令加紧防范。郑云将军还没有办法和陆六联繫前，便被金兵发觉围捕，幸好陆六的妹妹小玲（上官灵凤），获得消息后奋身掩护，郑云得以逃出重围，但负伤很重，陆六将他背负到家中。当陆小玲将这份名单祕密送到天盛斋不久，吴掌柜便在金兵围捕中被杀害，然而幸好名单没被搜到。当晚，小玲潜入茶食铺将名单取回，由陆六将它藏到烂坟岗的一隻石兽的口里。耶律忠循着他所看到的破绽，将和陆六一起工作的刘异扣查，在严刑逼供中知道陆六将郑将军救走，便下令缉捕陆六。陆六武艺高强，金兵横尸累累，但是最后仍因陷在陷阱中被捉去。陆六虽经种种酷刑，但坚持不肯透露名单的藏匿地点。小玲仗着艺高，夜入经略府想搭救哥哥，中正了老奸巨猾耶律忠之计，同被困在经略府之内。耶律忠接着又把陆六的母亲（张冰玉）也提到，想对陆母施酷刑来胁迫陆六和小玲交出名单，陆母深明大义以国为重，竟一头拄死在柱上.....
